Diana Jeffery

Colorado United States
(b. 1961 - d. 2015)

Message from Diana's family:

Diana was a loving mother and companion. She nurtured us all through her actions and touched many of our hearts with kindness and support. She loved to share her interests in Colorado's outdoors with others. We admired her service through the nurturing and caring for others. Diana dedicated her life to helping others to make positive impact in their daily lives through education and good decision making. Her dedication and service to others was exhibited through participation, leadership, and involvement with the Los Angeles Police Department, La Leche League, Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of America, Montessori teachings, MCDHS Adult Protection, West Springs Hospital, and Guardianship Services of Western Colorado.

We lost a wonderful mother and friend on July 9, 2015. Diana Lynn Jeffery was fatally injured in a back country vehicle accident in the beautiful mining area north of Silverton, Colorado USA. The valiant efforts of those closest to her offered immediate care. In addition, the stalwart actions of the Silverton Volunteer Fire Department’s Emergency Response Team were not able to keep Diana with us. She passed away during an activity she loved to do with her family and friends. The family will be taking Diana to San Pedro and Huntington Beach, California for a scattering of her ashes sometime in mid-August 2015. On July 23, the LLL of CO/WY TEAM plans to send a card to the family and flowers to her memorial service on behalf of the Leaders in LLL of Colorado/Wyoming.

Heidi Lee Reasoner shared this comment:
Diana Jeffery was in an ATV accident near Silverton, Colorado. She sustained major internal injuries. They were out of cellular service and 13 miles outside of town. Unfortunately her injuries were so bad that she passed away. Diana was our only active LLL Leader in Grand Junction and actively lead the LLL Group in Grand Junction for several years. She will truly be missed. She leaves behind two children, who are 18 and 20."
